Hello-
The Sacred Site blog will examine a range of mental, emotional and transpersonal experiences associated with Earth’s many sacred sites. The blog is written, directed by Erik Vereczkey who is currently a doctoral candidate in Energy Medicine at Holos University, based in Fair Grove, Missouri. The focus of the University studies is on Integrative Healthcare where a body-mind-spirit, holistic approach is honoured.
The hero’s journey is an archetypal pattern. It is a pattern that shares many similarities with a more specific pattern of the pilgrim. This reflection of the circular journey of the hero is a great “beginning” to a more focused phase of my doctorate.
In some senses, all Sacred Site Pilgrimages echo the archetypes of the Hero or the Wanderer in the face of a pilgrim. These higher dimensional energy stencils (Sacred Archetypes) are the energy patterns that we base our lives upon. You live your life every day and would recognize your own unique energy pattern because it cycles you through your life experiences. They are part and parcel, our sacred contract with God to live the life we do, meet the people we meet and evolve our souls in the way we have chosen.
When one embarks on a Sacred Site Pilgrimage, these Archetypal patterns of the Hero, the Wanderer and the Pilgrim come to greet us. They are allies that assist us on our journey. They ultimately become intimate friends and companions in our journey of transformation from our mundane or profane lives.
Over the next 18 months, I will be documenting various pilgrimage experiences and I hope to document the most meaningful moments. Hope you stick around and enjoy the ride.
HUGS to you,
Erik

HUGS to you,
